Sombras en el humo
Guerra
el último refugio
de una corona desmoronada,
una mente trastornada
intoxicado por el poder.
Manos inútiles alcanzan
para captar lo inasible,
Para mandar
fuerzas salvajes e indómitas,
convirtiendo a inocentes en cenizas,
la cordura al dolor,
Espero que se desempolve.
Guerra
un cruel juego de muerte,
donde los valientes se alzan,
inflexible,
para proteger la verdad
del veneno de las mentiras.
Sin embargo, las bombas
fracturar el cielo,
los niños lloran,
Los ríos corren color carmesí.
La luz de la mañana cae
todavía en pie,
cuerpos sin parpadear.
Entonces
Encendamos
la vela de la paz,
envía la paloma blanca
a través de los cielos oscurecidos.
Deja que la inocencia vuelva a sonreír,
Que se alimenten las bocas huecas,
por manos una vez empapadas en sangre
ahora lavado
con el agua de la compasión.

Shahid Abbas is a multi-awarded international author and poet from Kirpala 421 G.B, Tandlianwala, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He is the author of Words from Nature and co-author of We Speak in Syllables. His poetry and haiku have been featured in numerous international anthologies and literary platforms, and his works have been translated into more than 10 languages.
Shahid serves as the Director of Culture (Pakistan) for the State of Birland, President of CIESART Pakistan, and CIESART Ambassador for Pakistan. He is also an Ambassador for UMEA (Portugal) and Coordinator for The Dream of Equality Pakistan.
A recipient of several international awards and recognitions, Shahid has represented Pakistan at major literary festivals across India, Portugal, Mexico, USA, Colombia, and more. He is one of the Amazon Bestselling Authors in international anthologies, including Peace is Within Us, published by the How to Write for Success Literary Network.
